FRequently asked questions
- What is Scanning? We can scan old prints, film, or slides (35mm). We can also photoshop or clean up any photos upon request with a small fee.
- Do You Process/Develop FILM? No we DO NOT. We do not Process or Develop film of any kind. We also, do not ship film out to get processed.
- What can you do with film? After your film has been processed/developed at another location, you can then bring it here to get them digitized or get prints made.
- How can you tell if film is developed? If it is still in the canister, then it has NOT been chemically processed. Do not try to pull your film out of the canister. You will have to get it developed/processed before bringing it in. If you can physically see your film and view your images then it has been developed.
- What can you print on? We have a wide variety of printer paper. Ranging from Glossy to Semi-Gloss or Fine Art Rag to Canvas paper. Call to see if we have a paper that works for YOU!
- Can you Frame/Mat? We do not frame or mat prints. Fees may be included if we have to install the image into your personal frame, that you bring in yourself. It can be helpful if we have to meet a certain size when printing your work.
- Can you crop my photos? Yes, HOWEVER, cropping is one of the most basic photo manipulation processes and we warn people to be mindful of how you want your images sized. It can remove any unwanted objects but it can also create irrelevant noise in a photograph. We can always check your images for cropping.
- How can I send in digital photos? For the fastest turn-around (especially around the holidays), we ask that customers use our online store. If you are having a hard time with our store, email is another option.
- What do you do at Stubblefield? I'm so glad you asked! We digitize and print. For our Artists, We can also photograph your art work so that you can have copies! We also have fun restoring old photographs. Call or stop by if you have any detailed questions about your order.
- How can I upload pictures from the cloud? When you are on our online store and you are having difficulty uploading photos from the cloud, whether it be on your computer or phone; this process is naturally going to take longer, because you are having to RE-DOWNLOAD the images to your device. It requires you to upload one at a time.
- Do I have to make an appointment? You do not. You may call with your questions or just come right on in. We are open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm. (Holiday hours may vary.)
